Maun Motors Self Drive operate a comprehensive range of HGV box vans – with and without tail lifts – to serve many purposes. The large cargo storage capacity in the box style body is ideal for carrying bulky items, which are too heavy to be moved in a 3.5t box van.
A tail-lift can aid with the loading/unloading of goods – especially those on pallets with the aid of a pallet truck, and goods loaded in wheeled Dutch trolleys or Danish trolleys – and bulky or heavy objects of up to 1000 Kg can be loaded & unloaded with ease. Some Maun Motors box vans – such as this one – are fitted with tail-lifts, but not all, so please state if you require a tail lift when you call to book your vehicle.
Applications include furniture removals, carrying stock for shops/stalls on pallets or Dutch/Danish trolleys, carrying light building materials, marquee hire, event & furniture hire and many more.
Our 7.5 tonne box lorries with tail lifts feature a rear roller shutter door which can be secured with a padlock (not supplied) for security. The chassis features a standard 4×2 axle configuration. Our maintenance procedures ensure that tail lifts on our hire vans receive regular servicing and LOLER safety testing so you can remain compliant and hire with confidence from Maun Motors.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.

INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS: Please note that when hiring vehicles on our own insurance we, regrettably, cannot cover drivers of 70 years of age and above, or those under 25 years of age (more info in our FAQs). All drivers must have held a full licence for at least 2 years. Towing with the vehicle is NOT permitted; even if the vehicle you hire has a towbar fitted. If you need to tow with your hire vehicle, you must arrange additional insurance cover prior to commencement of the hire agreement.

DRIVING LICENCE VALIDITY: Since DVLA abolished the paper counterpart driving licence, it has affected how hire companies are able to validate driving licences of their customers. Hirers must now enter their details into a website in order to generate a validation code to share with us, otherwise we are unable to hire to them.
