In the 9 seater class, Maun Motors use Ford’s top of the range Tourneo & Tourneo Custom; luxury people mover variants of the Transit & Transit Custom, with quality upholstery throughout, a carpeted floor, Air Conditioning, โQuick-Clearโ heated windscreen and a host of other passenger comfort & safety features.ย These high specification executive minibuses are perfect for transporting important clients in style, or even taking the family to the coast on holiday.
With three-point lap & diagonal seatbelts throughout, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, ABS, Traction Control and a host of safety features, our modern fleet of minibuses can transport your clients and staff in comfort and safety.
A nine seat minibus can be driven by anyone with a standard full car licence (Category B) and does not require the use of a tachograph unless towing. The 9 seat buses we hire are based on the L1ย or L2 (SWB / short wheelbase and LWB / long wheelbase) base vehicle sizes. The L2 model has additional load space behind the rear seats, for carrying luggage.

Please remember the stated seating capacity includes the driver, i.e. a 9 seat minibus will carry 8 passengers plus the driver.

INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS: Please note that when hiring vehicles on our own insurance we, regrettably, cannot cover drivers of 70 years of age and above, or those under 25 years of age (more info in our FAQs). All drivers must have held a full licence for at least 2 years. Towing with the vehicle is NOT permitted; even if the vehicle you hire has a towbar fitted. If you need to tow with your hire vehicle, you must arrange additional insurance cover prior to commencement of the hire agreement.
The above are conditions of our insurance and are beyond our control.
DRIVING LICENCE VALIDITY: Since DVLA abolished the paper counterpart driving licence, it has affected how hire companies are able to validate driving licences of their customers. Hirers must now enter their details into a website in order to generate a validation code to share with us, otherwise we are unable to hire to them.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.
