Minibus hire: With bus capacities of up to 17 seats, Maun Motors has a minibus to suit most occasions, from event security, to sports teams & clubs, to transport for corporate events.
Our larger 12 seater, 15 seater and 17 seater models are powerful enough to carry your crew, and are very spacious. The 14 & 15 seat buses we hire are based on the L3 or LWB (long wheelbase) base vehicle size.
With three-point lap & diagonal seatbelts throughout, ABS, Traction Control and a host of safety features, our modern fleet of minibuses can transport your clients and staff in comfort and safety.
You may be able to drive a minibus with up to 16 passenger seats using your current car driving licence (Category B) as long as it’s not for ‘hire or reward’ (i.e. there’s no payment from or on behalf of the passengers), provided the GVW of the minibus is no more than 3.5 tonnes. Unfortunately, very few 14, 15 or 17 seat minibuses have such a low GVW – ours range between 3.7 & 4.6 tonnes GVW – so in practice the maximum size of minibus you can hire is 11 passengers.
In order to drive a 15 seat minibus commercially (i.e. for ‘hire or reward’), the driver must hold a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence or category D1 entitlement on their driving licence, so please ensure this is checked prior to placing a booking. We also hire out smaller luxury 9 seat executive minibuses which are spacious, yet nimble, and able to fit in a standard car park space.
Please remember the stated seating capacity includes the driver, i.e. a 15 seat minibus will carry 14 passengers plus the driver, a 14 seat minibus will carry 13 passengers plus the driver.

PSV Minibuses
We are now able to offer minibuses which meet PSV regulations, which receive an annual PSV test instead of a standard MOT. So if you are a minibus operator in need of a short-term replacement PSV minibus, please give us a call and specify a PSV tested vehicle when you make your booking. There may be an additional cost for a PSV minibus over our standard minibuses.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.
