3.5 tonne GVW Long Wheelbase, High Roof (L3 H3) Panel Van Rental
Extremely versatile, plywood lined, generous loading capacities, able to be driven on a standard category B car licence and an endless list of possible uses; that’s the humble Maun Motors panel van. Whether it’s SWB, MWB, LWB, Extra-Long or even Crew Van hire in the East Midlands that you’re looking for, you’ve come to the right place!
Due to the versatility and mass appeal of panel vans, there is a mind-boggling selection of different wheelbases, roof heights and configurations of LCVs available from all of the major van manufacturers. We endeavour to carry a range of the most popular sizes and configurations on our van hire fleet, although the exact selection is subject to availability.
We currently have the 3.5 tonne GVW, LWB High Roof (L3H3) version of the Ford Transit panel van and the MWB, High Roof (L2H2) version of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter available to hire, along with Extra-Long Jumbo Transits, LWB Medium Roof, MWB Medium Roof and Short Wheelbase vans on our fleet. We also hire Transit-type Crew Vans.
All Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter panel vans, hired from Maun Motors, have doors which open at least 180°, as well as a sliding side-loading door. Both configurations give excellent loading potential, even using a fork-lift truck!
The Transit LWB High Roof van has the following approximate internal loadspace dimensions:
length = 3.39m | width = 1.78m | height = 1.88m
load volume = 11.5m³ | payload = 1225kg
The Sprinter L3H2 RWD extra large van has the following approximate internal loadspace dimensions:
max. length = 3.27m | width = 1.78m | height = 2.01m
load volume = 10.5m³ | payload = 1200kg
A ‘Jumbo’ or ‘Hi-Cube’ configuration is the largest version of each van model available. It combines a longer wheelbase with a higher roof; which creates a larger internal storage space, to give you optimum carrying ability.

INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS: Please note that when hiring vehicles on our own insurance we, regrettably, cannot cover drivers of 70 years of age and above, or those under 25 years of age (more info in our FAQs). All drivers must have held a full licence for at least 2 years. Towing with the vehicle is NOT permitted; even if the vehicle you hire has a towbar fitted. If you need to tow with your hire vehicle, you must arrange additional insurance cover prior to commencement of the hire agreement.

DRIVING LICENCE VALIDITY: Since DVLA abolished the paper counterpart driving licence, it has affected how hire companies are able to validate driving licences of their customers. Hirers must now enter their details into a website in order to generate a validation code to share with us, otherwise we are unable to hire to them.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.
Moving House? To make your job easier, did you know that we also rent out sack trolleys? Standard sack trolleys are available for an additional £4.50 +VAT per day and specialist “Stairclimber” sack trolleys are available for an additional £6.50 +VAT per day.
