Maun Motors have a range of 3.5 tonne vans fitted with flatbed pick-up bodies to suit most applications on our dropside hire fleet. Whether you need a standard dropside, a dropside with tail-lift, or a plain flat-bed, we have a vehicle to suit your needs.
This 13 foot 6 inch (4.12 metre) dropside is based on the 3.5t L4 Long Wheelbase Transit T350 chassis-cab and features a removable “fall-arrest” safety system of barriers around the load bed. These high-visibility lightweight aluminium bars are designed to help prevent falls from height when a driver or operative has to access the rear load area. They can be removed quickly for loading & unloading, or can be removed and stored if you wish to use the vehicle as a regular 3,500 Kg GVW dropside.ย The bodies of these vehicles feature aluminium dropsides and hard-wearing, specialist resin-bonded plywood, load decks, as well as pull-up load retention rings, under-chassis roping hooks, strong tubular steel headboard and and integrated side step in the rear tail board – to allow safe ingress and egress to the load platform.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.

In 2015 the DVLA abolished the paper counterpart driving licence. This affects how we are able to validate the driving licences of our customers. Hirers must now enter their details into a website in order to share some of their licence details with us, otherwise we are unable to hire to them.
