Maun Motors have a range of 3.5 tonne vans fitted with flatbed pick-up bodies to suit most applications on our dropside hire fleet. Whether you need a standard dropside, a dropside with tail-lift, or a plain flat-bed, we have a vehicle to suit your needs.
This 13 foot 6 inch (4.12 metre) dropside is based on the 3.5t L4 Long Wheelbase Transit T350 chassis-cab and โ due to the shorter chassis & body weighing less โ has the largest payload of all our 3,500 Kg GVW dropsides.ย The bodies of these vehicles feature aluminium dropsides and hard-wearing, specialist resin-bonded plywood, load decks, as well as pull-up load retention rings, under-chassis roping hooks, strong tubular steel headboard and – on some models – integrated side steps both sides & headboard grab handles.
If you’re planning long-term or contract hire, we can even arrange to have a body built specific to your needs*.ย Occasionally we have dropsides available with crew cabs, allowing 5 passengers and a driver to be transported in one vehicle; an extremely practical option.ย Please call for availibility.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, this vehicle is suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Greater Manchester, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. If you plan to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London, please specify a Euro 6 vehicle when making your booking.
Please note that due to the increased cost of modern vehicles, the rental price of a Euro 6 model may be higher than a Euro 5 model; but if you will be entering a ULEZ or CAZ this extra cost will be more than offset by not having to pay an entry charge.

INSURANCE EXCLUSIONS: Please note that when hiring vehicles on our own insurance, towing with the vehicle is NOT permitted; even if the vehicle you hire has a towbar fitted. This is a condition of our insurance and is beyond our control. If you need to tow with your hire vehicle, you must arrange additional insurance cover prior to commencement of the hire agreement.

In 2015 the DVLA abolished the paper counterpart driving licence. This affects how we are able to validate the driving licences of our customers. Hirers must now enter their details into a website in order to share some of their licence details with us, otherwise we are unable to hire to them.
