Tipper van with mesh side extensions & 6 seat or 7 seat crew cab, 3.5 tonne.
These crew cab tippers with cage sides (extended sides with galvanised mesh) are perfectly suited for recycling, waste management, municipal and groundcare/grounds maintenance. They are manufactured and built to our own design & specification, to offer a strong and durable body whilst striking a balance between a large volume and a useable payload. These mesh-sided tipper vans are suitable for councils & local authorities operating inner-city kerbside waste & recycling collections, due to their compact size and Euro 6 emissions (allowing them to be used inside Clean Air Zones and the London Ultra Low Emission Zone).

In the utilities and civil engineering industries, vehicles equipped with a hydraulic tipping dropside body are used every day. They can be driven on a standard category B car licence and are also available with towbar & tachograph, making them legal for towing such as a wood chipper trailer, mini digger, etc.ย This makes the 3.5 tonne tipper a popular hire vehicle for many applications.
A handy addition to a tipper is a crew cab (also known as a double cab), which allows the ease of transport of up to 7 workers, as well as the load in the body. Due to the larger cab, 3.5t crew cab tippers are built on long wheelbase L4 LWB extended frame chassis cabs.
The standard body length on a 3.5 tonne crew cab tipper is around 2.7 metres / 8 feet 9 inches, whereas the standard body length on a 3.5 tonne single cab tipper is around 3.1 metres / 10 feet 3 inches.
If you don’t need a double cab or crew cab tipper, or think you could benefit from the extra body length, we also hire 3.5t single cab tippers and 3.5t single cab caged tippers.
TIPPERS WITH TOOL STORAGE – We also hire out 3.5 tonne single cab tippers with “tool pods” – a large tool & equipment locker placed in front of the tipping body, to allow safe and secure storage of equipment and tools. These storage lockers have roller-shutter access doors on both sides of the van – for easy access to stored tools and supplies which need to be kept dry and secure). These vehicles are ideal for civil engineering and grounds maintenance applications.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.
