In response to customer demand we have expanded our range of trucks featuring mounting kits for a Moffett truck-mounted forklift (TMFL).ย To complement our Day Cab and Sleeper Cab Curtain-side Moffett lorry hire fleet, we are pleased to now offer 40 foot Trailers, Rear-Steer Dropside Trucks, Lift-Axle Flatbed Lorries and these Rear-Steer Flatbed Sleeper Cab Lorries, all with Moffett mounting kits installed, enabling you take your forklift with you!
Our 26 tonne, 6-wheel Flatbed lorries with mounting kits for HIAB Moffett truck-mounted fork lifts offer efficiency benefits through allowing your trained* delivery drivers to be โself-sufficientโ.ย By loading and unloading their own vehicles with a Moffett fork lift (available to hire from us separately), your delivery drivers don’t have to rely on customers having their own unloading equipment available.ย This can prove extremely time efficient and reliable when calculating delivery schedules with tight deadlines.ย These features make our lorries with Moffett mounting brackets very popular with builders merchants for delivery of building materials, plasterboard, insulation, etc.ย Timber merchants for the transport & delivery of wood products.ย Distributors of pet food, bird seed & agricultural feed, drinks & beverage wholesalers, along with many types of palletised distribution.
Our 26,000 kg GVW Moffett lorry hire vehicles feature heavy-duty, hard-wearing, hardwood half-lap load bed flooring with multiple integrated load lashing points in the load deck and optional fall arrest system (may not be fitted to all vehicles but is available upon request).ย The chassis features a 6×2 axle configuration with a rear-steer, rear-lift (rear drop axle), for added manoeuvrability & handling when laden and improved fuel efficiency when unladen.ย We also offer a very similar vehicle with a dropside body instead of a flatbed, click here for more information.
This vehicle type is compatible with all of the Hiabโ Moffett M4, M5 & M8 truck-mounted forklifts on our rental fleet, as well as some Manitou models (please speak to our hire team to confirm dimensions & compatibility), thanks to the integrated mounting kit on the rear of the vehicle.
We also hire out Curtain Side rigid trucks with day cab or sleeper cab and Curtain-side tri-axle Trailers with integrated Moffett mounting kits.

Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.
