Maun Motors are a specialist commercial vehicle hire company offering many truck rental options, including Euro 6 tractor unit rental. We have a small fleet of modern sleeper cab Iveco Stralis HI-WAY long distance tractor units (also known as prime mover, tractive unit or traction unit), featuring London LEZ & ULEZ compliant Euro 6 engine with 6×2 drivetrain and 44,000 Kg Maximum Train Weight. These vehicles feature a double bunk, satellite navigation, day & night air conditioning, chilled food and drink storage, along with several safety functions including: Electronic Braking System, Brake Assist, ESP, Hill Holder, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning System & AEBS (Advanced Emergency Braking System).
For power plants, these trucks have 11.1 litre Euro 6 diesel engines with a power output of 460 bhp & 2,150 Nm torque. All of our rental tractor units are equipped with automatic transmissions & high roof sleeper cabs for driver comfort and aero kits for fuel efficiency.
Did you know, we also hire 40 foot tri-axle trailers with Moffett forklift attachments? Due to customer demand we have introduced several curtain-side HGV trailers and flatbed HGV trailers to our self drive rental fleet. These are all equipped with mounting kits at the rear to enable a Moffett forklift to be carried on the trailer. These trailers are available to hire alongside our tractor units, at additional cost, so you can hire a full articulated lorry / artic from Maun Motors. LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, this vehicle is suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Greater Manchester, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. If you plan to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London, please specify a Euro 6 vehicle when making your booking.
Please note that due to the increased cost of modern vehicles, the rental price of a Euro 6 model may be higher than a Euro 5 model; but if you will be entering a ULEZ or CAZ this extra cost will be more than offset by not having to pay an entry charge.
