Minibus Hire for Clean Air Zones
CAZ-Compliant 9, 12, 15 & 17 seat minibus rental, Euro 6
Situated only five minutes from Junction 28 of the M1 – Maun Motors’ Minibus Hire Department is ideally situated to service several cities operating Clean Air Zones. We’re located just 33 miles from Sheffield City centre, we can be reached by road in around an hour from Birmingham City centre (M42 / M1 or A38) and we’re an 80 minute drive south down the M1 from Bradford. Although we are little over a 50 mile drive from the Greater Manchester area the road links are not the fastest or most direct, so the easiest way to travel to us is often by train. Alfreton railway station is just 3 miles away and Chesterfield train station 11 miles away, which are both on the Midland Mainline – making us accessible from Bristol (150 miles), Bath (164 miles) and Portsmouth (200 miles) to hire a specialised commercial vehicle. We also offer a delivery service for longer-term hire.
To help our customers comply with the evolving environmental legislative requirements for commercial vehicles operating in & around UK cities & regions like Birmingham, Bath, Greater Manchester, Sheffield, Bradford, Bristol and Portsmouth, Maun Motors can supply a selection of hire vehicles which meet the Euro 6 emissions regulations, making them compliant for use within Clean Air Zones, without being subject to additional entry charges. Our other vehicles with Euro VI emissions range from Panel Vans to Tractor Units and other Lorries.
Please state at time of booking if you intend to operate within a city operating a CAZ, so that we can ensure a Euro 6 or Clean Air Zone-compliant vehicle is supplied.
We hire out high specification, luxury 9 seat minibuses, such as the Ford Tourneo Custom and more basic, larger models. So we have a minibus to hire to suit most occasions, from event security, to sports teams & clubs, to transport for corporate events.
Maun Motors’ modern Hire Fleet of Minibuses (9 seaters, right through to 17 seater models) has a vehicle to suit most passenger transportation requirements. All vehicles are fitted with three-point lap and diagonal seatbelts throughout; ABS, Traction Control and a host of safety features, designed to transport your passengers in comfort and safety.
Our modern minibus hire fleet is made up predominantly of Euro 6 / Euro VI compliant minibuses, making them suitable for use within Clean Air Zones, such as the one in Birmingham. If you plan to use your hired vehicle within the ULEZ zone in a participating city centre, please specify a Euro 6 vehicle when making your booking.
PSV Minibuses are also available to hire from Maun Motors Self Drive. We now offer minibuses which meet PSV regulations (Public Service Vehicle) with the following seating capacities: 12 seat, 15 seat and 17 seat (including driver). These minibuses receive an annual PSV test instead of a standard MOT. So if you are a minibus operator in need of a short-term replacement PSV minibus, please give us a call and specify a PSV tested vehicle when you make your booking. There may be an additional cost for a PSV minibus over our standard minibuses.
A 9-seater minibus can be driven by anyone with a standard full car licence (Category B) and does not require the use of a tachograph unless towing. You may be able to drive a minibus with up to 15 passenger seats using your current car driving licence as long as it’s not for ‘hire or reward’. Please remember the minibus seating capacities we advertise include the driver, i.e. a 9 seater will carry 8 passengers and the driver.
