Hire an 18t Dropside HIAB type Crane Lorry with Front-Mounted Loader
Maun Motors have an extensive HIAB crane-lorry hire fleet, with vehicles to suit most applications from general muckaway to builders merchants and even specialist heavy lifting work. This fleet includes several 18 tonne lorry with crane, available on short & long term self-drive hire. Crane lorry rental is also referred to as Hiab lorry hire.
We have a selection of 18 tonne GVW crane lorries fitted with front-mount loaders aimed at general/heavy lifting applications. The cranes themselves are fitted with a hook as standard, but we specify our rear-mount cranes to be fitted with extra functions, allowing a brick grab to be installed and operated, giving our loader crane hire fleet exceptional flexibility. These 18,000 kg GVW trucks feature flatbed bodies with removable aluminium dropsides, and heavy-duty, hard-wearing, hardwood half-lap flooring. The aluminium sides can also be removed upon request, to allow the trucks to be used as standard flatbed trucks. The chassis feature a standard 4×2 axle configuration.
The vast majority of loaders fitted to our crane lorries feature radio remote-control, for increased operator safety, maximum working efficiency and increased lifting power.
Only the best quality cranes and lorry loaders are fitted to Maun Motors vehicles which is why you’ll find only cranes from market-leading manufacturers such as HMF, HIAB and Palfinger on the Maun Motors fleet.
Our maintenance procedures ensure that lorry loaders on our hire crane lorries receive regular servicing and LOLER safety testing so you can remain compliant and hire with confidence from Maun Motors.
Of course, to compliment the range of cranes, we have a choice of flatbed or dropside bodies and a range of vehicle gross weights to ensure we have a vehicle to suit your particular application.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.
