Our largest-ever lorry-mounted crane!ย This heavy-lift crane lorry is equipped with a rear-mounted 40 tonne/metre rated HMF 4020 K4 loader with hook attachment.

The HMF 4020 K4 crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 7,970 kg at 4.4 metres and is capable of lifting 2,670 kg at its maximum reach of 12 metres.ย The crane has continuous slew, meaning it can rotate through a full 360ยฐ without stopping.ย The truck has front & rear pairs of stabiliser legs and also features EVS (Electronic Vehicle Stabilisation) safety system from HMF.ย EVS allows the crane to work to its maximum permissible lifting capacity – within the 360ยฐ movement, including over the driverโs cab – without the need to fully extend stabiliser beams. The EVS system actively monitors vehicle stability in the entire 360ยฐ working area around the vehicle, through monitoring: The load on the vehicle, load moment of the crane, crane working speed, angle of ground inclination & the heel of the vehicle.ย These features, combined with the radio remote control with HMF InfoCentre, make this crane lorry a powerful, flexible & safe working partner

This particular vehicle configuration was built to meet the specific demands of one of our long-term hire customers.ย It was built to meet FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) requirements and features a multitude of safety features โ for the driver, crane operator, pedestrians and other road users โ besides a host of practical, functional features.ย Included are: โSidescanโ near-side alert system, Reversing camera, Fresnel lens, Class VI cab mirror, Left turn alarm, Cyclist warning signage, Fall arrest strap system with removable support posts, Fire extinguishers & strap storage lockers, Beacons, Slide-away load bed access steps with grab handles on each side of the body, Twistlock connectors for Inter-modal logistics and for carrying site containers, etc.
The base vehicle is a DAF CF 6×2 26,000 kg GVW truck with a Euro 6 / Euro VI rated, 330 PS engine and a spacious sleeper cab. ย The flatbed body features heavy duty lashing eyes, fall-arrest system, headboard & tailboard and heavy-duty, hard-wearing, hardwood half-lap flooring.ย The chassis features a 6×2 axle configuration with a rear-steer, rear-lift (rear drop axle), for added manoeuvrability & handling when laden and improved fuel efficiency when unladen.

LONDON ULEZ (ULTRA Low Emission Zone) & Clean Air Zones
Thanks to meeting the Euro 6 emissions rating, our vehicles are suitable for use within the London ULEZ Low Emission Zone, Low Emission Zones (LEZ) in Scotland, and the Clean Air Zones operating in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Tyneside – Newcastle and Gateshead, Bradford, Bath, Bristol & Portsmouth. Therefore, under current rules you should not have to pay a charge to use your hired vehicle within a Clean Air Zone, LEZ or the enlarged ULEZ zone in Greater & Central London.
